Perched on the 11th floor, RYZE Skyline Lounge channels the spirit of Pikes Peak and Colorado’s rugged landscape. The palette—wood, iron, and stone—is intentionally tactile: sophisticated, grounded, and built to work from day to night. Framed views keep the mountains present; crafted details carry the story inside.
Project Overview
- Client: RYZE Skyline Lounge
- Location: Colorado Springs, CO
- Sector: Hospitality — Lounge & Bar
- Role: Interior design
- Scope: Concept → construction documents; custom millwork; FF&E; lighting; finishes
- Concept: Crafted mountain narrative—wood, iron, stone; day-to-night atmosphere
- Highlights: Custom walnut bar with tongue & bow-tie joinery; perforated “ridgeline” ceiling; leather-wrapped iron rail; operable glazing to terrace
- Outcomes: Flexible seating; efficient service paths; cohesive indoor/outdoor flow

We planned zones for every pace—stools for energy, lounge groupings for linger, and banquettes for privacy. Layered lighting does the quiet work: sparkle at the bar, warm diffuse light in the lounge, dimmable strings to knit it together.

Leather-Wrapped Iron Rail
Crafted touchpoint—durable, replaceable, and detailed to age well.

Walnut Joinery
Hand-selected slabs with tongue and bow-tie keys—strength with visible craft.

Mark & Material
Material, light, and pattern carry the story from the moment guests step off the elevator.
Daylight frames Pikes Peak; the terrace doubles as casual lounge seating year-round.
One Continuous Room
The plan reads as a single experience—bar, lounge, and terrace connected by a common material and lighting language. Circulation is obvious for guests and efficient for staff. Seating mixes stools, lounge groupings, and banquettes, so capacity scales without clutter. Lighting runs in independent, dimmable zones; audio follows the same logic for quick scene changes. Movable groupings and concealed floor power make it simple to re-stage for tastings, buy-outs, or small receptions. The result: a space that looks composed in service and pivots cleanly for private events.
